Legal
Terms of Service
Effective: Not yet in effect — pending review · AIQ (aiqworlds.com)
These Terms govern your use of AIQ (the app and aiqworlds.com), operated by {{LEGAL_ENTITY}}. By creating an account or using AIQ, you agree to these Terms. If you are creating a child's profile, you are agreeing on your own behalf and confirming you are the child's parent or legal guardian.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 to create a parent account. Child profiles are for ages 7–14 and must be created and managed by a parent or guardian. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password and any child PINs confidential.
2. What AIQ is
AIQ generates learning courses from a topic you provide, grounded in retrieved sources, together with an AI tutor, gamified progress tracking, and spaced-repetition review. It is a learning tool, not a substitute for professional educational assessment, medical, legal or financial advice.
3. AI-generated content — accuracy
Course content and tutor replies are generated by an AI system grounded in retrieved sources, and every citation is checked against material actually retrieved for that course. This substantially reduces, but does not eliminate, the possibility of an inaccurate or incomplete explanation. You should treat AIQ's output the way you would treat any single source of information — check the cited sources shown with each lesson, especially for anything consequential. Report anything wrong or inappropriate using the report control on the lesson or message.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use AIQ to generate, request, or attempt to extract unsafe, illegal, or age-inappropriate content;
- Attempt to bypass the safety, parental-approval, or content-filtering systems;
- Access or attempt to access another user's account or a child's data you do not have parental authority over;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or use automated means to extract course content or model behaviour at scale;
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable law.
5. Your content
Notes, buddy messages, and topics you submit remain yours. You grant us a licence to process them as necessary to operate the service (e.g. to generate a course from a topic you request, or to give the tutor context for a reply). We do not use your content to train models for other customers.
6. Subscriptions
Free accounts include a daily allowance of new courses and time-regenerating lives. A premium subscription, where offered, is billed and managed through the Apple App Store or your platform's store — see Subscription Terms for renewal, cancellation, and refund details, which are governed by that store's policies.
7. Intellectual property
The AIQ app, its design, and its underlying software are owned by {{LEGAL_ENTITY}} or our licensors. Course content may incorporate material from third-party curriculum sources under their own licences — see Attributions.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time (see Delete your account). We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or presents a safety risk, particularly regarding child safety.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
AIQ is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of {{GOVERNING_LAW}}.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to account holders in advance of taking effect.
